Athlete healthy lifestyle Inspiring People

Nuzest is pleased to welcome Alyssa Mautz as one of our newest sports ambassadors. Alyssa is a professional soccer player for the Chicago Red Stars of the National Women's Soccer League. We had the pleasure of sitting down and getting know Alyssa, so let's see what she had to say!

Q. For those of us who don’t know you, who is Alyssa?

A. I am a very outgoing person who loves to be active. Any outdoor activity I’m down for. I love dogs, especially my dog Lucy. She is my world! Being healthy is very important to me as well. I love trying new things to help my health in anyway.

Q. What does being a Nuzest sports influencer mean to you?

A. Just promoting amazing clean products that can benefit your overall health and recovery from sports or workouts!

Q. How do you make healthy choices and avoid temptations when it comes to your nutrition?

A. I just know what I put in my body will effect me the next day at training or workout sessions which helps me to make better healthy choices.

Q. What is your favorite indulgence?

A. Smoothies honestly. I think I almost have one once a day and I am always using Nuzest protein in them. I also love dates!

Q. What is your favorite healthy snack?

A. Mixture of nuts or hummus.

Q. How do you stay active and fit?

A. I love working out and being active so it’s really not too hard for me. I love walking my dog, lifting, riding bikes, running and hiking.

Q. What is your favorite form of exercise?

A. Running or weightlifting.

Q. Aside from being a soccer superstar, what do you do for fun?

A. I love going on hikes with my dog, fishing or just going on a long bike ride.

Q. What advice do you have for people wanting to kick-start a healthy lifestyle or to pump up their nutrition?

A. I would just take small steps into adding healthy habits in your day to day meals. Starting slowly only makes it easier. I would never recommend going on a strict diet. I find it never works. Would always start by drinking more water daily!
