Nuzest is pleased to welcome Bethany Balcer as one of our newest sports ambassadors. Bethany is a professional soccer player for the OL Reign in the National Women's Soccer League. We had the pleasure of sitting down and getting to know Bethany, so let's see what she had to say!

Q. For those of us who don’t know you, who is Bethany?

A.  I’m a lover of all things outdoors, good authentic food, and new experiences! Since becoming a professional athlete I’ve been trying to say yes to more things and broaden my horizon. I love my family and value creating deep relationships with others. 

Q. What does being a Nuzest sports influencer mean to you?

A. It’s an honor to be a part of Nuzest, and I love informing others about the quality products they provide. I appreciate the heart of the company and their desire to create an amazing, plant-based protein.

Q. How do you make healthy choices and avoid temptations when it comes to your nutrition?

A. I find healthy snacks that fill my desire for sweets all the time. Oranges and fruits help with that as they are a source of sugar. But I also let myself have some sweets every once in a while. With how much I’m working out, it’s okay to have sweets in moderation.

Q. What is your favorite indulgence?

A. I love Reese's peanut butter cups!

Q. What is your favorite healthy snack?

A. I love making smoothie bowls. Load up all the berries, peanut butter, and throw in some chocolate protein!

Q. How do you stay active and fit?

A. I train almost every day with my soccer team as well as go to the gym twice a week to maintain muscle and strength.

Q. What is your favorite form of exercise?

A.  I really enjoy running so whenever I’m not training ,I will go outside and go on long runs. I find them relaxing and relieve me of any stress I may have.

Q. Aside from being a soccer superstar, what do you do for fun?

A. I love doing crosswords and sudokus, and any time I can I try and find a new hike to go on! I also enjoy playing my ukulele.

Q. What advice do you have for people wanting to kick-start a healthy lifestyle or to pump up their nutrition?

A. Track what you eat and you will find out a lot about yourself and your habits! From there you can start making necessary changes in order to get what you want out of a healthy lifestyle.
