Nuzest is pleased to welcome Kaleigh Riehl one of our newest sports ambassadors. Kaleigh is a professional soccer player for Racing Louisville FC in the National Women's Soccer League. We had the pleasure of sitting down and getting to know Kaleigh, so let's see what she had to say!
Q. For those of us who don’t know you, who is Kaleigh?
A. I am a professional soccer player in the NWSL for Racing Louisville FC and I am currently on loan in France to Paris FC. I grew up in Fairfax Station, Virginia and attended Penn State University where I studied Kinesiology.
Q. What does being a Nuzest sports influencer mean to you?
A. Being a Nuzest influencer means a lot to me. I am a huge supporter of eating healthy and living a healthy lifestyle and I believe Nuzest embodies these same values. As a professional athlete, what I fuel my body with has a direct effect on my performance. Their nutritional, clean, plant-based protein powders help to keep me energized and keep me performing at my best. I’m excited to share their products with other people who want to make healthier choices.
Q. How do you make healthy choices and avoid temptations when it comes to your nutrition?
A. I am very goal oriented, so I try to make eating decisions based on what will help me feel my best and perform my best on the field and in the weight room. I am also a firm believer in routines. I stick to a healthy routine and try not to stray from it too often. There are also many healthier alternatives to tempting foods, so these can be great as well!
Q. What is your favorite indulgence?
A. Brownies are my weakness when it comes to sweets.
Q. What is your favorite healthy snack?
A. A smoothie or geek yogurt with fruit and granola are my go-to healthy snacks.
Q. How do you stay active and fit?
A. I play soccer, run, and lift to stay active and fit.
Q. What is your favorite form of exercise?
A. Playing soccer (shocker)!!!
Q. Aside from being a soccer superstar, what do you do for fun?
A. I recently rescued a puppy during the pandemic, so I love taking him for long walks/hikes and training him. I also love seeing new places, trying new restaurants, and just relaxing with friends and family 😊
Q. What advice do you have for people wanting to kick-start a healthy lifestyle or to pump up their nutrition?
A. My best advice is to have a goal and start by making small changes to your diet and lifestyle that are realistic for YOU. If you make too many changes too fast it is often not sustainable, so I suggest to start small and then continue to build on it. Consistency and patience is key!
