Q. For those of us who don’t know you, who is Haley?
I am a professional soccer player for the Houston Dash in the National Women’s Soccer League. I have also played in Melbourne, Australia for the Melbourne Victory.
Q. What does being a Nuzest sports influencer mean to you?
I am thrilled to be able to share how important it is for me to fuel with quality products off of the field. Adding Nuzest protein into my diet gave me a boost in order to persevere and thrive throughout our long season. As an athlete at the highest level, you take every advantage you can get - Nuzest has definitely given me an edge!
Q. How do you make healthy choices and avoid temptations when it comes to your nutrition?
For me, it’s stocking up on healthful foods and centering every meal around a protein source. If I am filling up on lean protein, veggies, fruits, and complex carbs my cravings go way down! I also make sure to drink TONS of water throughout the day.
Q. What is your favorite indulgence?
Baked goods are my weakness. Any type of cookie, cake, or brownie and it’s hard for me to say no! That’s why I love finding healthy baking recipes and adding some Nuzest protein powder to make sure I’m getting a sustainable snack!
Q. What is your favorite healthy snack?
I love fruit with vanilla Greek yogurt and a bit of granola for crunch. If I’m in need of a little extra protein, I’ll add a scoop of Smooth Vanilla Clean Lean Protein by Nuzest and I’m satisfied for hours!
Q. How do you stay active and fit?
Thankfully, my job keeps me extremely fit! Outside of that, I love to take my dog Finn on long walks in the park.
Q. What is your favorite form of exercise?
Playing soccer, of course! I am so blessed to be able to do this for a living!
Q. Aside from being a soccer superstar, what do you do for fun?
I’m a huge fan of podcasts, I listen while I go on long walks/runs. I also just love exploring and being outdoors!
Q. What advice do you have for people wanting to kick-start a healthy lifestyle or to pump up their nutrition?
You don’t have to be a professional athlete or a health expert to achieve your health goals. There are so many different ways you can move toward a healthier lifestyle - pick what works for you and go from there! Give yourself some grace and take the first step!
