Nuzest is pleased to welcome Samantha Staab one of our newest sports ambassadors. Samantha is a professional soccer player for the Washington Spirit team in Washington D.C. We had the pleasure of sitting down with and getting to know Samantha, so let's see what she had to say!

Q. For those of us who don’t know you, who is Samantha?

A. I’m a professional soccer player for the Washington Spirit in Washington DC.

Q. What does being a Nuzest sports influencer mean to you?

A. Being a Nuzest sports influencer means a lot. I absolutely love the products and they’re very important to me so I can be my best in my career. I’m passionate about the products and hoping to show others how great they are too! 

Q. How do you make healthy choices and avoid temptations when it comes to your nutrition?

A. I think it’s all about moderation. If you have a craving, it’s ok to give in a little but in moderation. Don’t eat a full pizza but a slice won’t completely ruin your diet.

Q. What is your favorite indulgence?

A. Froyo/ice cream.

Q. What is your favorite healthy snack?

A. Apples and peanut butter or popcorn.

Q. How do you stay active and fit?

A. Being a professional athlete, I workout a lot to stay at the top of my game. I also love hiking and yoga for something different from my typical workouts.

Q. What is your favorite form of exercise?

A. I really enjoy walking, yoga, and lifting.

Q. Aside from being a soccer superstar, what do you do for fun?

A. I love going out and exploring. Whether it be hiking somewhere new, trying a new restaurant, checking out a new shop, just anything that is new and different. 

Q. What advice do you have for people wanting to kick-start a healthy lifestyle or to pump up their nutrition?

A. I think it’s really important to be kind to yourself. Starting a healthy lifestyle is easy but sticking with it is very tough. There’s going to be bumps in the road but how you respond is the most important. Try and add as many veggies or fruits to any meal you can. I find this helpful in filling me up while not being too full and feeling gross.
